When joining as a RMP solider do you see combat ?

Anonymous asked a question to Robert H.

I’ve seen RMP and RMP solider and wandered if the difference was one sees combat and the other doesn't

That is an interesting question. The RMP is not in one of the Combat Arms so its primary role is not to actively enter into combat. That being said all soldiers are trained in low level infantry skills should they need to defend themselves. We say that everyone, regardless of trade is a soldier first and must be prepared to fight if required. Although in some trades that is less likely.

Hope that helps answer your question.

    Good Afternoon,

An RMP soldier is more hands on and deals with the investigation. For an RMP officer they manage case files, planning exercises etc.
