Can having a previous mood disorder affect my chances of joining even if it was not treated with meds?
Hello and thank you for your question.
When it comes to medical assessments we have trained medical professionals who will look at your records on a case by case basis. I would say the best thing to do is to apply, when your application has been submitted a recruiter will get in touch to invite you in to your local Army Careers Centre where you will see an Army Brief and have an Individual Careers Discussion (presentation and a chat to get to know you better), following this we will request your medical records from your GP which can then be reviewed.
I wish you all the best with your application 😀
