    Hi Richmond,

Unfortunately, applications for Commonwealth candidates are currently closed, which is why your application hasn't progressed. The best advice I can give you is to regularly check the website and your portal for updates. The Commonwealth team will contact you as soon as recruitment opens again.

However, when the recruitment does open again, here is some advice for your interview.

I'm a note-taker myself, and I always find it helpful to jot down key points during meetings. While you don't have to take notes, it might be useful for you to reflect on later. After that, you'll have a career discussion with one of the team members. This is an opportunity for them to get to know you better, the biggest piece of advice I can give you is to be yourself. Take a moment to think about your answers before you respond and try to provide as much detail as possible.

This is your chance to choose three job roles you're interested in, so your research will be crucial. What specifically appeals to you about the role you are applying for? Some recruiters might ask you that question and what you know about the role, while others might not, but it's always best to be prepared. Use the Army Jobs website and role finder to learn about your chosen role, including the length of training, what it consists of and where it will be held. While researching the role, pay close attention to the entry requirements. Make sure you know what you need to achieve at the assessment to pass for this role. This preparation will help you feel more confident and ready for the challenges ahead.

    Good Luck! :)

    Status: ✅ Completed

    2. Application Review

    Status: ✅ Completed

    3. Reviewing Your Medical History

    Status: ⬜ Pending

    4. Meet or Chat to Your Recruiter

    Status: ⬜ Pending

    5. Preparing for Assessment

    Status: ⬜ Pending

    6. Assessment

    Status: ⬜ Pending

    7. Getting Ready to Join the Army

    Status: ⬜ Pending

    8. You Are in the Army

Since the first two stages have been ticked, can you confirm whether I need to complete all the remaining steps in the portal as a Commonwealth applicant?

    • Are there any specific steps or requirements tailored for Commonwealth applicants that differ from regular applicants?

Unfortunately, I do not know the answer as to why your application was not selected. You can always call the National Recruitment Centre on 0345 600 80 80 and speak to the Commonwealth team and ask the question. Good Luck!
