That's really exciting to hear you are thinking about joining the infantry, it's a really rewarding career. The role of the Infantry is at the core of the Army; from peacekeeping to combat operations. There are many roles within the infantry, we have foot soldiers, armoured cavalry, paratroopers and much more. We can discuss what would suit you best when you put through an application, or if you need any advice before that feel free to give your Army Careers Centre a call or pop in to see them.
Most roles in the Army will help you gain your driving licence (for free) and you may even learn to drive many different/larger vehicles depending on your role.
If you are considering joining after college I would advise you to apply at least 6 months before you finish college, the application process can sometimes take longer than expected so this gives you plenty of time to get through it.
Best of luck 😀
