Hi Kerry,
On your most recent application, it should give you an explanation as to why you have been rejected from the Army. Within that same email you should see a part that references the JSP 950, if you follow this link https://data.parliament.uk/DepositedPapers/Files/DEP2019-0604/Joint_Service_Manual_of_Medical_Fitness.pdf, look at your email for the reference and you will be able to find the specific section that you have been declined for. Within this document, it should give you a little more explanation and help you make an appeal if you wish to go down this route.
Hopefully this helps you
Hi there Kerry,
Im sure you have but just to check, have you looked over https://jobs.army.mod.uk/regular-army/entry-options/rejoiner/
Also where would you be looking to rejoin to?
I have. I have currently gone through an appeal which has recently been rejected on a basis of thoughts of self harm in 2009 ( I was 19 years old) . To this I have served later on from 2014 - 2018 I’m the regulars. I am now 34 years old, I am trying to reapply and rejoin. And my reject is based on something that was written 16 years ago. nothing more Went further as In i never took or was prescribed medication For mental health, nor had meetings or appointments for mental health or self harm. if anyone has some information or advice how I go about this it would be much appreciated.
To be rejected for something you was previously accepted for is unusual but it is always up to the medical team to make that final decision. There is an appeals process but how this works for re joiners would be something you would need to discuss with the NRC you can call them on 0345 600 80 80
