Absolutely, having any previous skills will only help your career as an Army Chef.
When you join there are so many qualifications you can continue to get after training e.g. Level 2 - Production Chef, Level 3 - Senior Production Chef Cooking, Levels 2 and 3 - Health and Safety and Levels 2, 3 and 4 - Nutrition.
