Hello and thank you for your question. It's important to understand everyone will join the Army with varying levels of fitness.
You will need to be able to pass the fitness test (includes a beep test, medicine ball throw and mid thigh pull) during your Assessment Centre visit, the requirements for this depend upon your job role.
Following that, a huge part of basic training is fitness and building upon it. The fitness programmes are designed by experts, so you will start by building muscle to protect you from injury and it will be a gradual process from there.
Being in the Army is physically demanding and its important to get your body ready for this, anything you do before joining is only going to help you in the long run 😀
