Would there be any differences in training for a qualified (L2) HCA if they apply to become a (L3) HCA in the Army?

If you're already a qualified (Level 2) Healthcare Assistant in the NHS, would you have any differences in training (Post Basic Training) within the Level 3 Apprenticeship and if so, what would they be?

    Hello Anon User #424004,

I hope you are well, you would still be required to complete Phase 2 training where you would complete the Care Foundation Certificate and be introduced to the Apprenticeship, learn some Anatomy and Physiology, develop ward skills (obs, dip testing, policy).

This course takes roughly 16 weeks to complete and you will then post to a Joint Hospital group to consolidate your training and complete your Apprenticeship.

    Hope this helps,
