I've wanted to join the military since I was twelve, I'm fifteen now and I'm considered 'lazy'. I'm homeschooled but I work really hard with my work and try my best. But I'm not sure it'll actually get me anywhere as I'm told 'you're not even trying'.
Joining the Army may help you to change, but you'll need to respond to motivation and be able to work as part of a team to be able to pass training. Instructors will notice if you're really not trying: working hard and trying your best underpins a lot of what Basic Training is about. That said, life is about balance: don't feel guilty about having the odd lazy day as a reward if you've earned it.
Have a think about what you'd role you'd like to join and why: having a clear goal will help keep you motivated.
