    Good morning

A Technical Support Specialist enables the REME to perform it's functions through the provision of Technical, Non-Technical and Real Life Support to it's soldiers. Some of this equipment is extremely heavy and cumbersome, the role is performed in camp, on Exercise and on Operations and often in austere environments. Being physically fit is a requirement of the job , It's just that some of the lifting we do is particularly heavy so that's why we have the joint highest requirement of all Non Ground Close Combat roles.
That being said, there is an option for 'shading' at the selection process, so if you can't meet the standard you could be accepted at risk and we would train you up once you were in.

If you have anymore questions please let me know.
