Why do student radiographer start on a lower salary compared to student nurses after graduating and first posting?

in the civilian work field newly qualified nurses and radiographers often start on the same salary but for the army radiographers start on £23k after graduating where as nurses start on £32k. Is there a potential in the future where salaries would be matched.

Salaries are usually matched depending on need and requirement although the pay check may seem less it will increase pretty rapidly and you also have all of the added benefits of the military that you would not get elsewhere. There is a potential for salary match in the future but this is a big decision made by the main office. The current salaries are the same for both radiographers and nurses. Only mental health nurses are on a higher wage and you would find that wages are different if they are in an officer or soldier role
