Hello. There is always the possibility of a conflict however if you are uncomfortable with the idea of a combat job role there are more job roles available in engineering, HR and finance, signals and communications, logistics...etc. In fact there are more roles available that are not combat. However, whatever role you choose, you will likely have to travel with work doing your job overseas. You will typically be away for a few weeks at a time but sometimes longer but travel is seen as a bonus of a job in the army.
