Good Afternoon and thanks for your question,
Great question, the food which is provided for you in the army is to a great standard and always gives you what you need to do your job effectively and efficiently.
We have great teams of chefs both military and civilian whom work in our kitchens on camp cooking a variety of meals in order to cater to everyone's needs for every meal time. This can be anything from a full English, porridge, cereal, omelettes and more at breakfast, paninis and hot food at lunch, and a 3 course meal for your evening meal too.
As well as this, the food which is cooked there can come from some of our commonwealth soldiers and their families whom live close by and have found employment within the civilian side of the kitchens, so you get the wonderful opportunities to try food from all over the world, directly from the people whom are the best at making it.
These are just a couple of the great things in our dining facilities, which are also accompanied by some well stocked shops and other cooking facilities which you can use yourself if you choose to.
In terms of the price too as you mentioned, the army covers most of the cost of your food, so you end up paying a very small amount for it. Roughly coming to around £2 per meal, which can go up or down depending on how much and what exactly you get. Some cans of drink and other additional things will be charged as extra of course, but still quite cheap anyway.
Hope this helps and answers your question, if you need anything else then feel free to ask.
