whats like like as a guardsman? Mostly Drill? Or do you go on exercise alot? Grenadiers or coldstream guards?

Not at all, like a lot of infantry regiments we are dual roled.
Check out the 5 guards regiments roles as we are all different. The ceremonial is an added bonus on top of the green soldiering.
A lot of regiments have a ceremonial role but as we as foot guards are very famous for wearing bearskin and tunic, it’s highly publicised worldwide. All 5 foot guards regiments operate a combat role and deploy worldwide.
