Check out their job role on the army homepage.
Each infantry regiment has a different role and responsibility so can all differ. For example, a light role infantry battalion may focus on foot soldier so to speak. An armoured infantry battalion will train tactics within their unit vehicles.
Infantry skills such as navigation, fitness and weapons will still be paramount .
