Good Morning,
Sometimes, it's important to prioritise what you truly want over what others expect of you. I would recommend taking the time to sit down and carefully weigh the positives and negatives.
From personal experience, my partner hasn’t always wanted me to be away, as she naturally misses me during deployments. However, she understands the commitment I’ve made to the British Army and recognises that this is the career path I’ve chosen.
Ultimately, the decision has to be yours. A career in the Army can be a short chapter in your life or a long-term commitment spanning 20 years or more. It is a significant undertaking, but the Ministry of Defence recognises this and provides support not only to soldiers but also to their families.
if you would like to go through the benefits we have in the British Army, I am more than happy to discuss further.
Hi Matthew thank you for your message, it’s just I’ve wanted to be in the army since I was younger age then I met my gf we have been together for 3 years now.. but the army keeps calling my name lol and yes I would love to go through the benefits if that is possible thank you.
good afternoon,
You're very welcome. Below are what I believe to be some of the key benefits the British Army offers its soldiers:
The British Army is more than just a job — it's a life-changing opportunity that builds character, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose. It offers a unique environment where you’re constantly challenged, supported, and empowered to grow both personally and professionally. While it’s natural for loved ones to have concerns, especially about time apart, it’s important to remember that this is your journey. Choosing to serve is a decision rooted in commitment, ambition, and a desire to make a difference. With the right communication and mutual understanding, relationships can grow stronger through shared respect for the path you've chosen.
If there is any other concerns or more questions, do not hesitate to reply.
I am More than happy to help !
That’s perfect thank you Matthew, i will have a proper talk to her and hopefully she will change her mind
You are more than welcome.
