What are the sporting opportunities like for females in RA and what is life like from day to day when working in unmanned aerial systems
Hi Azaria-Zere,
Thank you for your question.
The Royal Artillery has great opportunities for sport at every level; from total novice if there is a sport you’re interested in trying, to releasing people to compete at the highest standard (for example gold medalist Heather Stanning is a serving Royal Artillery Officer).
Day to day, in camp in a UAS Regiment you are likely to conduct: some physical training; some maintenance work on your equipment and vehicles; some personal development, be that pertaining to your trade or your education; and some military training such as weapon handling or map and compass skills.
I hope this helps but feel free to come back to me if you have any other questions.
Katie
