So the majority of regular soldier roles have an upper age limit of 35 years and 6 months. If you wish to join the reserves, this increases slightly to 42 years and 6 months.
Should you wish to join as an officer, you must be under 28 years and 11 months before you commence training at Sandhurst. As a reserve officer, you could join up to 48 years and 11 months.
The upper age limit will vary slightly, depending on which job role you wish to do. There are certain specialist roles, such as Chaplain that offer a greater age cap (49y 11m in this example).
