Ross C. asked a question to Samuel L.

I am able to be for officer infantry reserves what will the training differences be and is there better benefits / opportunities for one than the other. Thank you and thank you for your service.

    Hi Ross,

Officer's are typically the more savvy, natural leaders that are expected to be able to make rapid decisions immediately from training. Soldiers are the "grafters", worker bees that train to be that management of the future alongside their respective trades.

I'd always recommend Soldier as that's where i contribute, that being said, if you have something in your skill set that is capable of being an Officer then i wouldn't let that deter you. More money, more responsibility very early on as an Officer.

I do have a question I feel stupid asking but I do really want to know. When there’s not an active war going on what do you do like a week in the life off do you just train and practice or what?
