Kelvin V. asked a question to Tori C.
Hello,
It depends what you mean by your question!
If you mean, why did I join the army rather than continue my career within the NHS? It is because the Army offered a better work life balance, and I felt it also offered more opportunities for career development, as well as all the other things it offers - generous leave, the opportunity to do adventure training and sport at work, good pay and the chance to travel at minimal cost to myself! There are many benefits to the army compared to civilian jobs, for both healthcare professionals and those from other backgrounds. If you have a particular career in mind, there are many serving officers and soldiers from all areas of the army on this site who would be willing to answer any other questions you may have.
If you mean, why did I choose the Army instead of the RAF or the Navy? I am afraid it is nothing more complicated than I don't particularly like boats or planes and didn't fancy a career working on them!
Hope that helps!
