The kit and equipment has evolved over time.
Id say it's the best it has been right now. That said there are always things that individuals do/do not like.
Uniform is pretty standard, there isn't much you can change about that.
Equipment wise, I like the body armour and helmet. The webbing is fine, it works but the molli system isn't the best. If I could change anything it would be that.
The BEST thing by far the Army has ever given me it my waterproof "Cape". It has a large zip collar so it will go on over my helmet. With wet suit style collar and cuffs. Goes down to my knees, so it keeps most of you dry without the faff of putting waterproof trousers on.
