John B. asked a question to Paratrooper R.
Its a professional but approachable relationship. Orders and requests get fired up and down the chain of command like anywhere else in the Army. Its formal when needed and loosened when appropriate and obviously the bigger the gap in rank the more formal it is period, however, in at least a company level as a soldier and an Nco, I've not met an officer the was off limits informally on a social event. Most the new officers I've encountered have listened to the experience of the Sgt's and Cpl's and on the best part, officers entrust Nco's to do their job without micro managing. Senior privates start gaining responsibility by being the first go to for the less experienced privates.
