At the Defence School of Transport Leconfield is where you will do your phase 2 training, you will firstly be loaded onto the 3 week combat logistician course. Then move on to the main part of your training.
You will be part of 110 sqn, you'll be loaded onto your driver training which will consist of doing your cat B (car), cat c and c+e (HGV and trailer).
Once you've competed these and your hazard awareness course, you will move on to familiarisation training which will be your land rover, 6 ton Support Vehicle and 9 ton Support Vehicle. You'll learn how to drive then, strap down loads and maintain them.
When you're not on driver training you will be doing continuation training
Once you've finished training for the day you'll be doing PT that's mixed into your daily routine, so maybe a circuit, run, tabbing or battle PT.
Phase 2 working hours are around 0700hrs - 1700hrs most days, the evenings are your own except Thursday which is in night where you will do block jobs and have an inspection around 1900hrs. This is just to ensure the place is clean and tidy ready for the weekend.

After training you will join a regiment where you will become part of the driver squadron, you will use your new skills to deploy on exercises as part of the support chain to the Army, you can specialise into different roles such as Tank transporter, Fuel tank driver, become a staff car driver. You can also learn to become a driving instructor, you can be attached to different regiments and corps to support them such as medics or REME, you will find elements of drivers everywhere.

When you get to unit it will be very much a 0800 hrs- 1700hrs working day, this will include details, and maintaining the fleet to ensure it is ready to deploy. You will also be building on your knowledge and skills all the time and have opportunities to deploy. Also a lot of adventure training is there for you to take part in also.

These are all the main stream units, there are places you can be attached to other units such as a medical regiment for example, but I'd go to them as your second posting when you've more experience and hopefully promoted to Lance Corporal. You can get a posting back to Leconfield as an instructor or section commander but this will likely be later in your career. You will go back to Leconfield to do additional courses to benefit you and your unit.
