Just do it ;) If it's not for you you'll not have wasted anything - you will find out things about yourself you never knew, you will find inner strength you never knew you had, you will meet people you may never have met otherwise and make friends for life. There are very few people who leave the army and have regretted their time in!
Make the most of every opportunity that's avaliable to you and try everything! I'm a nordic ski instructor only because i thought i was volunteering to go kayaking! I had never really seen snow before, let alone skiied and at the time had never shot a gun! Best sport ever and if it wasn't for the army and accidently volunteering i would never have tried it!
