The day to day would be like working at a veterinary clinic dealing with animals. Some duties such as emergency call out may involve working some weekends apart from that anytime outside of the hours not worked is your own free time to do with as you please. Deployments for veterinarians will sometimes come around but these are usually deployment specific depending on need but you will mostly be based in the UK to ensure the welfare of all working animals. Because being a veterinarian is classed as a specialist role you would need to talk to the NRC at some point during your application process where they will be able to give you more details as to what to expect. You would have to put in your application for this but this can be withdrawn at any point if you change your mind.
