What is it like being a GDMO e.g as a Major? Is it like being a regular officer or do you only deal with soldier health?

Hi Mohammed,
GDMOs are only ever Captains, on the new contract doctors don't promote to Major until they have completed their 3rd year of specialty training.
A GDMO is a doctor, and as such the majority of our work will be clinical and will involve looking after soldiers, but we do train as officers as well and will have some of the responsibilities of a regular officer. -
