What is involved in a typical day of training?
Thinking about joining, worried I will get homesick and not knowing anyone, and if I'm fit enough

These are worries everyone has, doesn’t matter how prepared you are.
Homesick will come naturally to everyone as it’s out of your normal day to day life, it does get easier. I started basic training not knowing anyone and within a few days everything was settled.
Speak to your local armed forces careers office when you have applied and have got as far as a basic training start date. Ask them if there is anyone else from that office that is starting the same time and get them to put you in touch with them.
