Hi,if you are at your base you do shift works in the kitchen early shift like 5:30-14:00,middle 10:00-18:30 or later 12:00-20:00.while you on exercise or tour routine is different than normal depending on location,manpower and all.
Depending on where you are based will depend on what you do. In training you will learn all the fundamentals of learning to cook and hygiene. Then at your first unit you will be mentored and develop your skills further whilst providing real support to the camp cookhouse and clubhouses as a chef. Hi Albert, day to day life as a chef can vary with no 2 days being the same and will depend on which area you are working ie Officers mess, Sgts Mess or the main Kitchen but in general you could be preparing a meal, prep for a VIP buffet, getting the field kit ready for deployment or doing further training
