Hi there, there have been many answers on this question on this platform. Look at best discussions and stories. Everyone who answered has got a different story to tell.
Personally i enjoy it. I left (not through choice), spent 4 years as a civi (but doing Army Reserves and a civilian job) and then re-joined in 2017.
Every day is different, you meet so many different people from every walk of life. You make life long friends and could probably sleep on the couch in any county, in many countries of whoever you meet in the army! It's a great salary, great work life balance. There's amazing opportunities. There really is no other job out there like it!
