    Hello,

During Basic Training, fitness tests gradually build to the standards that everyone needs to meet, which are SCR and RFT(S). I haven't come across the RFT(BT), but it is likely the same test as the RFT(S), but to slightly lower standards to develop you.

At the moment, the tests consist of:

SCR: Medicine ball throw, broad jump, pull ups, dead lift, shuttle sprints, and a 2km run.

RFT(S): Loaded march, tactical movement, casualty drag, stretcher carry, vertical lift, repeated lift and carry, and incremental lift.

When it comes to preparing, you need to be able to pass the entry requirements listed on the Army Jobs page. This will make sure that you have a basic level of fitness that can be developed through Basic Training.

I hope that's helped to answer your question.
