What exercise can i do to help me get strong to lift someone up during battle PT?

    Hi Katie,

    All of our physical training is progressive as you go through your basic training and there is no requirement to be role fitness ready from day one. What that programme looks like can be found here - https://www.army.mod.uk/people/careers/entry-requirements-and-standards/physical-employment-standards/.

    That being said, functional fitness training utilising your bodyweight is an excellent place to start. The Role Fitness Entry Programme at the bottom of the page linked above is designed to build up your overall fitness progressively to ensure you are injury free throughout the process. Adding weights into the mix can help but is something I would approach with care.
