The MSO job day to day is to ensure that all the troops that they are in command of are achieving what needs to be achieved. To do this they will check over plans for training help plan exercises and functions for the troops to be able to maintain their day to day operational capability. The job role itself is not clinical and you will never be expected to do anything clinical apart from the occasional support which any soldier or officer can provide with the relevant training.
You will also be the link between the chain of command passing messages directly from the troops to higher up and relaying messages back down again.
