Pros - you have potentially 18 months more training, physical fitness and experience than some new soldiers

By the time you are operationally deplorable you could have done multiple overseas exercises

If you put in the work you could attend a promotion course at 19-20 years old

Lots of Junior entry soldiers go on to have exceptional careers within the British army for having that head start

CONS - Your initial training is a bit longer than adult entry

Someone who attended assessment centre the same time as you and went adult entry will get to battalion 6 months before you

You aren’t deplorable until 18 years of age

    Hope this helps!

Wish I joined as a junior entry instead of waiting until adult entry age
