There isn't a lot of information about it past basic training. My aim is to work with the Calvary, how achievable is this after basic training? do we get say about where we work? Also how are women treated within this role and basic training? I have spoken some soldiers and they say sexism is big
Information about this is very limited as it is quite a specific job role. Working with the cavalry may be achievable but a not sure as to how this process would work if you are attached to the unit or if you are centralised where they bring the animals to you. Women working in the roles are treated equally and fairly to the men. You will be expected to perform to the same level which changes over the past few years have made this more achievable. Sexism is not tolerated within the Army and all instances should be reported and followed up on. They is additional support that will help you through the complaints processes etc if necessary.
