Thank you so much for your question.
To become an NCO pilot the minimum you require is to be a LCpl with a recommendation for Cpl on your SJAR (report) and to have passed the AAC pilot selection courses. This takes 3-4 years on average. However, once you pass out of Phase 2 training in Middle Wallop there are opportunities to get the selection process started early.
In terms of short term advice for you. I would suggest you get through Pirbright and Middle Wallop and then establish yourself at your first unit. Be enthusiastic and learn you trade as best as you can. Go above and beyond and try to make a difference in your role at that unit. This will get you noticed and help set the tone for your future role. They will want to see that you are motivated and have the drive to succeed on the pilots' course.
