Good Afternoon,
Unfortunately I am commenting here only on the behalf of the Army as I am unaware of the Drug Policy for the Royal Navy. As per the ARMY GENERAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE INSTRUCTIONS, VOLUME 2, CHAPTER 41, POLICY FOR THE RECRUITMENT AND ENLISTMENT / COMMISSIONING OF PERSONNEL WITH CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS, it states that an individual who has been convicted of a drug offence can reapply after a period no less than 2 years from date of discharge.
My advice to you would be to speak to your local Armed Forces Careers Office (AFCO) and request a discussion with a Royal Navy recruiter to understand the policy involved in terms of reapplying for other arms i.e Army.
Following this you can go online to the Army Jobs website and submit an application. You will be asked questions about convictions and prior service as part of your application which will then be subject to scrutiny. If you are ineligible due to your previous discharge due to drug use then your application will be rejected.
Warm Regards,
SSgt Rob Needham
