Hi, I wish to go to university to do history and become a history teacher but I wish to join the paras or royal engineers after my A levels. I have heard that the army will pay for or help pay for uni tuition costs. Will this apply after I leave the army? Will it help for the £9,500 tuition costs?
You may be eligible to join as an Officer and study for a degree whilst you serve Officer Degrees & Qualifications | Army Jobs or on a bursary scheme Bursaries & scholarships, if you are not eligible you may wish to join as a Regular soldier and study alongside work there are a number of schemes open whilst serving depending on time you have served Army Apprenticeships - Learning & Development | Army Jobs. You could also consider becoming a Reserve Soldier whilst you are studying Army Reserve (part-time) head to Army jobs website or visit local Recruiting Centre to find out more about your options.
