Hi Robert, I’ve applied to become a reservist and interested to train with Intelligence Corps. I’m from Estonia and went to school there but have a degree from UK university. There is a GCSE level entry requirement, but will it supersede a university degree for consideration? Thanks!
Hi there
So there is quite a lot to unpack with your question so I will try to deal with it in parts.
Firstly your nationality will above all be a decider. If you do not meet the nationality entry standards then the rest will not be relevent. The entry standards for nationality can be found at: https://jobs.army.mod.uk/how-to-join/can-i-apply/nationality/
As for GCSE entry level requirement….if you have different qualifications that can show the same level of assessment then they can often be transposed. The classic example is English and Maths. If you can show you can meet the same standards then this shouldn’t be an issue. It will make your entry more complicated as you will need to submit extra data for assessment but I suspect if a Uk university has been happy to allow you to take a course then so will the army.
