I'm going into the infantry once I join but what's a good route from being 2 years in the army to getting to regiments like the SRR,18th signals and such?
I've never done it but I think you have to serve 4 years before for can apply for the selection to the UKSF.
If thats your ultimate goal, then ensuring your physically ready for selection is key. individuals can attend a beat up cse which is ran by the SF over a 2/3 weeks and is focused on preparing people in all aspects for selection.
you'll then have to apply to attend the selection cse. ensuring you submit all the documentation required is key. I know soldiers that have missed the cse due to silly paperwork mistakes.
If your successful and pass the selection cse, then you'll be accepted into the UKSF.
Hey mate. Joining a UKSF regiment has been a dream which I am sure everyone says but I think I would go through regular infantry gain experience before applying to do a beat up CSE and then applying for training to UKSF. Thanks for giving me information so I can remember for years ahead!
