I’m currently a student at university but I commute. And need consistent work in order to continue commuting
Hi there,
Have you thought about joining the Officer Training Corps? Their training works well with your studies and are set up well to train you as an officer. Depending on how you commute you may also get some help in that you could be eligible to get a Forces Rail Card which would reduce the cost of train fares. In terms of how much work you will get. You will get one night a week and potentially the weekends depending on how many your unit puts on. If you complete courses during your leave periods (something i did at university) you will get paid for them and ultimately earny a tax free bounty for the year which could offset your commuting costs.
