The entry requirement for my role is 16 and 6 months but when there is a intake in September I will be 16 and 5 months

For any engineer role ( I consider Avionic Technician) you need to be 16 and 6 months as an entry requirement but in September I will be 16 and 5 months and I don't want to wait till March can I go to AFC Harrogate in September?

    Ali,

You must be older than 15 years and 9 months to apply for the Army. You need to be between 16 and 17 years, 5 months when you start. I believe the entry requirement you are referring to is the requirement for REME Aircraft technician training which comes after Harrogate. Harrogate is a 6 month course so if you start at 16Y and 5 months of age you will finish at 16Y and 11 months putting you well within the entry requirement for this role.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you for the answer?
So in the Engineering roles where it says Step 2 that is where I need to be 16 and 6 months and not at the time of joining AFC Harrogate.

Yes i believe that would be the case as the entry requirement for Harrogate is that you need to be between 16 and 17 years of age, step 2 is your trade training with the REME.
    All the best.

Hi, today I had my individual career discussion and the solider said that If I am 16 and 5 months in September I would have to wait till March to achieve the age requirement.
