Hey I would like to join as an officer in the armoured corps but have been told that it's very difficult to straight out of completing my A-levels due to lack of life experience. Due you have any suggestions on how I could fix this in order to increase my chances?
Good afternoon, There are a variety of things that make up good foundations to become and Officer such as:
Confidence
Intelligence
Natural Leadership
Ability to learn quickly
Being Pre-emptive
Physically fit
Understanding of the world and current geo political situations.
The Army teaches you to be the Officer that's required, as long as you have the ability to learn on the job fast and react to the ever changing requirements. The life experience element can be introduced in no time at all if you seize all the opportunities that come your way.
