I'm a woman, stand around 5'4 and have a pretty small build. A couple years back I spoke to a recruiter and he mentioned that he couldn't see someone of my size being in the infantry. Would this be an issue if I did want to join the infantry?
Hello.
Thank you for your question.
The only people who can decide if you are too small for the Infantry is the Assessment Centre and the Infantry Training Centre.
I would give it a go and see what they say, every person is different in terms of size and weight. You will find that some people are tall but struggle to carry weight, some people are small and can carry more than their body weight.
I hope this helps answer your question and if you have any more, please ask.
