Jordan M. asked a question to Claire W.
Good morning, just a question about Rejoiners. I was previously in the infantry (Lancs) and am interested in rejoining the parachute regiment. I left the army in 2020 would I have to re do all training again, many thanks
Good morning Jordan,
Honestly it varies. Rejoining in a shorter period would limit the requirement to complete the entirety of basic training. That being said if you are looking at also changing role/Capbadge then you will likely have to re do everything. As I'm sure you're aware the maroon beret and wings won't be given out easily.
Rejoiners at present have the longest wait to enter the pipeline too. Recent estimates are around 12 months to get to training. So if this is a desire of yours then I'd recommend applying now if not already do so IOT speed up the process.
