I have 120 UCAS points, a C in English and a C in Science, but a D in Maths. Can I apply for an Officer role?
Hi there
The Education requirements for an officer role are
If you've taken GCSEs: 35 ALIS points from a maximum of 7 subjects, including at least grade C/4 in English Language, Maths and either Science or a foreign language
If you've taken SNQs: 34 ALIS points from a maximum of 7 subjects, including at least grade C/2 in English Language, Maths and either Science or a foreign language
PLUS 72 UCAS Tariff points from a maximum of 3 subjects (4 for Scottish Highers and excluding General Studies) with a minimum of 2 at National Level 3 (excluding AS Levels) or National or International equivalent.
More info can be found at https://jobs.army.mod.uk/how-to-join/can-i-apply/qualifications/
Hope this helps
Hi,
Thanks for your response.
I think I presented my question in the wrong way.
Is there an exception for applicants who don’t meet the required grades such as myself. I miss out on Maths (I have D GCSE Maths) and I don’t meet the ALIS point requirement. I have 34 rather than 35.
I do however, have more than the required UCAS points.
