I have done a fair amount of research on the matter, and from a very young age I have wanted to take up a role within the army. I have read that the us army are more lenient to diabetics with a HBA1C lower than 7%. I would just love to know if it's possible.
Hi Jasper,
Thanks for your question.
I’m afraid we can't answer specific medical question and unfortunately cannot provide you with a definite answer without our Medical Admin Team reviewing your medical history and treatments. Please create an application and our trained Medical Admin Team will review your medical information. They will then be able to contact you back with an informed decision.
Sorry I am not able to provide more information but your situation is very specific to you and the details would be medical in confidence so we would prefer to discuss that one-to-one.
There are more details at: apply.army.mod.uk/how-to-join/can-i-join⦠The best thing to do is to start an application and then the National Recruiting Centre can assist you with any specific requirements and help you along the way. Please use this link to register your interest: apply.army.mod.uk/register.
Once you have registered you will then be e-mailed an activation link. You must check your e-mail: junk, inbox and spam folders for your activation e-mail.
Please follow the link and begin your application. You will then be assigned a Candidate Support Manager who will contact you when we are ready to progress your application. They can assist you with your medical questions in more detail.
I hope this helps.
Katie
