Hey Charlie,
As a Royal Engineer you get the opportunity to specialise in some things. We have Commando, Diver and Para Engineers. You complete Pegasus Company (the Parachute Regiments arduous course) and will get your coveted Maroon Beret. At some point following this course you will complete the All Arms Parachutist Course where you will get your Wings and qualify as a Parachutist. So absolutely you can be a Royal Engineer and still participate in jumps.
