Nurse in the army.

1- If I join as a nurse ( newly qualified) in the Army (soldier route, not officer), will I hold the rank of Corporal after basic or do I start off as a Private? 2- JHG hospital- How long do I need to be stationed at one? if I want to deploy. 3. Are nurses allowed to do bank shifts?

1.You will get the rank of corporal at the end of training for the soldier route.

    2. As for JHG this is usually during your preceptor-ship and you often have a chance to move about after but can still be posted to JHG after.

3 it will be your responsibility to maintain CPD hours if this means doing bank shifts then that may be done as such but usually your chain of command will allocate you to a job role you can have a preference where you want to work and source your own placements however you would be able to get paid externally for this as you are being paid by the military.
