No need for SC clearance of 5 years residency for officers role in Infantry,parachute right?

Applying as a commonwealth citizen for officer roles. If I have no 5 year UK residency but can provide clean & verifiable documents for the last 5 years of my country(India), can SC clearance be granted for non sensitive roles like Infantry,parachute etc? In 2018 5 yr UK residency rule was removed.

Good afternoon, Correct, the requirement to reside here in the UK prior was removed.
Having said that, we are extremely popular amongst Commonwealth applicants, so the window to apply for yourself tends to be extremely small due to the high volume of applications.
