My son is 16 and has learning difficulties would this stop him from applying for a role like a chef/dog handler/driver?

    Good morning,

All medical related issues are taken on a case by case basis, on applying he will be fully medically assessed by the Army doctors who will decide if he is fit for service or not.

    Hope this helps.

    Natalie,

I just wanted to add to this, at selection he will have to do an army cognitive test to assess his trainability. the score he gets on this will determine the jobs he would be eligible, all jobs require a certain score. This could be challenging for someone with learning difficulties however I would recommend trying the practise tests using the link I have put below.
